Dr. Andy Taylor, TCM

He studied TCM at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in California, earning a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Andy has been practicing TCM for ten years and being fluent in Mandarin Chinese, spent the last five in Taiwan as an apprentice to his teacher Dr. Li Xing Ming, learning a system of traditional bone and joint mobilization (Chinese Osteopathy). He also specializes in Japanese acupuncture, Chinese orthopedic manual therapy and herbal medicine to treat all types of pain and internal disorders.

Farid Alipour

Farid Alipour, an experienced wellness trainer with expertise in stress management and relaxation techniques. Having a high-level of training in nutrition, yoga, meditation, Kung Fu, Qi Gong and Traditional Thai Massage for more than 35 years.
He strongly supports the importance of harmonizing mind, spirit and body through nutrition and sports such as yoga, qi gong, kung-fu and meditation.

His preparation as a wellness trainer can be said to have started at a very early age of 15, when he began practicing Kung Fu.
Later, in 1991 he met the one who became his master, Mr. Wong, at Bergen’s China Struck-Art Club. After meeting him he immediately started working there as an assistant teacher meanwhile learning new techniques and practicing, together with Mr.Wong, for the next 6 years. He then met with him from time to time to learn new styles of Kung-fu (Tai-chi , Qi Gong) for the next 17 years.
In 2001, after becoming professional in Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, he left Norway for the Himalayas where he studied yoga and meditation under the guidance of local masters. After more than 2 year of extensive practice and small group teaching, he became a Certified Advanced Yoga Teacher at Rishikul Institute of Holistic Yoga & Integrated Therapies in India, in October of 2002. This was another very important step in his physical, mental and spiritual development.

Through the martial arts, yoga and meditation, he developed strength, patience, balance and flexibility which are very important qualities for a wellness trainer.

A few weeks after becoming a Certified Advanced Yoga Teacher in India he went to the very south of Thailand, where he attended a very prestigious Internationally known Meditation Centre called Suan Mokkh, where he studied the Anapanasati (mindfulness on breathing). He was then asked to teach yoga to the meditators and participants in big groups every morning for more than 3 weeks.

In 2003 he began teaching yoga and qi gong in health centers around the world: Spa Samui – Thailand, Thelifeco – Turkey and Navotu – Cambodia where he created and teached his own programs of lifestyle and wellness. During this time, he also held private lessons for people around the world.

During his stay in Thailand he attended and graduated the Traditional Thai Massage Course to fourthly enrich his knowledge and massage techniques.

In 2004, he started visiting China and Taiwan regularly, learning from chinese masters, deepening his knowledge in the Tao philosophy. He discovered the Gong-fu Tea Ceremony culture in detail, starting from the forest tea tree, the processing of the tea, the ritualised preparation and presentation of tea, and finally, the traditionally serving. He now helps the others to discover and understand the terrific tastes and healthful aspects of one of the world’s oldest and most widely consumed beverages of all times.

To complete his training as a wellness trainer, in 2015 he completed the certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Centre for Nutrition Studies through the eCornell University in the USA. So he studied nutrition with the notorious Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry T. Colin Campbell, author of The China Study – The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted.

Beginning from march of 2017 he is the President and founder of Integrative Life, a wellness and lifestyle association based in Europe, having its main goals to teach individuals through week retreats and workshops how to adopt these knowledge and integrate it into their life situation. The program created for this combines yoga, Qi Gong and meditation techniques, cooking whole food plant based ingredients and using tea and art of Cha Tao(meditation with tea).

Dr. Colin Campbell

Biochemist who specializes in the effect of nutrition on long-term health. He is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University.

Dr. LeAnne Campbell

Dr. LeAnne Campbell is the President and Founder of Global Roots. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Cornell University in Human Service Studies and her Ph.D. from UNC Chapel Hill in Education. She has served on the faculty at Nazareth College in Rochester NY, Mississippi State University and at Duke University’s Latin American and Caribbean Studies program, where she designed education initiatives, leadership programs, and professional teacher training programs.

With over 30 years of experience, her research and initiatives have helped to build vibrant, inclusive communities and greater cultural awareness. Furthermore, she has over 25 years of experience living, researching, working and teaching in the Dominican Republic.

Daughter of T. Colin Campbell and mother to two sons who she raised on a plant-based diet, LeAnne wrote The China Study Cookbook in 2013 to help others transform their individual health and the health of the entire family through her helpful tips on substitutions, keeping foods nutrient-rich, and transitioning to a plant-based diet.

 

Samir Dara MD

Samir Dara is a medical doctor. He received his M.D. from university of Malta and returned back home to Norway where he did his medical training. Prior to this he studied dentistry for 4 years.

Dr. Dara has a longstanding interest in the relationship between nutrition, disease and health. This led to him reading extensively around the subject of nutrition. In this process it was important for him to ensure all the facts were evidence-based. From this extensive evidence-based research he concluded that the whole food, plant-based diet offered significant health benefits.

At the present time Dr. Dara is giving nutrition consultations and offering lifestyle plans for better health.

Dr. Pavel Chirilă

Professor. dr. Pavel Chirilă, PhD in Medical Sciences, Professor of Bioethics secular and Christian, internal medicine physician with specialization in phytotherapy and homeopathy. He is the president of Romanian Association of Medical herbalists, naturopathic physician and author of several works in the field.

Dr. Doru Laza

Dr. Doru Laza, co-author of the book Prophylactic and therapeutic guide of natural medicine and Recipes from Edenic cuisine, connoisseur and practitioner of natural medicine, has an experience of over 30 years in herbal medicine, addresses a wide range of diseases.

For 11 years, he headed the Center for Health and Preventive Medicine Eden, Breaza, with over 6,000 cases, with various pathologies.

Cristela Georgescu

Certified Holistic Health Practitioner with 13+ years of own experience with whole food, plant based diet and who specializes in the holistic approach to health, nutrition and regenerative detoxification.

Cristela GEORGESCU is an engaging seasoned speaker, author of the Educational Program “Vitamin L – Health Beyond the Food We Eat”, book series “Simple”, and co-author of „Don’t Feed The Cancer!”. Backed both by science and her personal experience as a patient, wife and mother of two, she inspires people to live gratefully and gracefully on planet Earth.

Cristela Georgescu received her B.Sc. in Economics at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Her post-graduate education includes studies of the Cornell University & T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies “Certificate Program in Plant Based Nutrition” , of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition “Program for Health Coaching”, of the School “5D Health” by Dr. Sorina Soescu, and of Dr. Robert Morse’s International School of Detoxification. She holds a Holistic Health Practitioner Certification from the Board of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and is a Member of the International Association for Health Coaches and of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

After a successful, result driven and highly regarded fifteen-year career as a corporate senior executive, Cristela Georgescu made a career shift and became a founding member, and contributor to local and international initiatives and organizations involved in promoting health through lifestyle, as well to books, and articles in professional journals and magazines. She is married and has two sons.

 

David Thomas

David L.Thomas, Jr., JD practiced law and ran businesses in Boston, Massachusetts for four decades before he co-founded International Integrators a collaborative, global community dedicated to the promotion of Integrative Health. Integrative Health brings together the best in conventional medicine, whole, plant-based food, movement and mind/body/spirit disciplines.

David loves being creative in the kitchen, and facilitates the food and nutrition program for International Integrators Living Whole Immersions, which are five-day retreats offered in California and Spain. He holds a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University, and enjoys sharing his experiences about how to thrive in the world of business, law and deal making while living a whole food, plant-based lifestyle.

David graduated in 1971 from Haverford College, Haverford, Pennsylvania, with honors in Spanish Literature before attending law school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
He has a strong belief in community service and served on the Board of Managers of Haverford College from 1996 until 2008, chairing the Property Committee. He initiated a comprehensive master planning process for the College and oversaw the construction of several new buildings, including the nation´s first LEED certified “green” athletic building and an integrated science center. David also has served in a leadership position with many other non-profit organizations.

With his wife, Kathryn Hayward, David co-founded and coordinated The Integrative Health Collaborative in Boston in 2007. They have lived in Inca on the island of Mallorca since 2011 and prior to that had been frequent visitors to Spain. They have two children and three grandchildren, with a fourth on the way.
